From three small plants a decade ago, Baker Bamboo has grown exponentially! This year we have nearly a thousand plants for sale.
The bamboo we sell is Fargesia rufa, “Sunset Glow.” Unlike the better known running type bamboo, this is a clumping bamboo that only expands a few inches a year. Sunset Glow thrives in organically rich, acidic, well-drained soil. Cold hardy to -10 degrees, it does well in partial shade.
